I’ve been wanting to collaborate with Santee for two years. Tekaronhiáhkhwa Santee Smith is an Onkwehon:we woman from the Mohawk Nation, Turtle Clan from Six Nations of the Grand River. She is the Founding Artistic Director of Kaha:wi Dance Theatre . With having the reputation as one of Canada’s top dancers and choreographers it was a dream come true to work with her.

It became even sweeter when Santee volunteered her daughter Semiah to be a part of the shoot. The focus then became a generational theme speaking to the importance of water and future generations and what is the expected role of women and water.

The powerful and sensual movements Santee and Semiah created translated well in the studio to simulate the spirit of water. These will be presented in a sequence along the panels. Attached are a couple of preview images from the shoot. There are so many beauties it will be hard to choose!

Thank you Santee and Semiah! Best hair flicks in town.

Thank you Album Studio Rentals  for sponsoring the location of this shoot.
